Questions
All questions →Do I need any prior experience?
No prior experience is required. The courses are designed for beginners aged 9 and above who are willing to practise consistently and improve through regular, guided practice.
Flourishing is the exception. It asks for a script you are already fluent in.
What materials do I need to start?
Most of the required materials are included in your course kit and are shipped to you before your classes begin. If any additional items are needed, our team will tell you in advance.
The full list for each course sits on the Fees and Materials page.
What if I miss a class?
Because learning is personalised, your progress is tracked individually rather than by batch. If you miss a session, your learning resumes from the point where you last stopped.
Up to three missed sessions may be adjusted during the course. Frequent or extended breaks may require additional sessions at extra cost.
Are classes live or recorded?
All classes are conducted live on Zoom and include real time guidance and personalised feedback from the mentor.
Recordings are not provided, as the learning experience is interactive and practice based. Students are encouraged to take notes and practise regularly between classes.
How much practice is expected?
Thirty to forty five minutes of daily practice. With mindful, patient and consistent practice this is enough to build strong skills and make steady progress through the course.
When does the next batch start?
Brush Pen offers rolling admissions, so you can join at any time after speaking with a mentor and confirming the current learning schedule.
For Copperplate, Devanagari and Flourishing, admissions depend on mentor availability and course readiness. Connect with a mentor to discuss the next available start date.
Ready to begin Devanagari?
